Sweet Victory Entertainment (SVE) is a team of writers, actors, and filmmakers who are dedicated to creating unique and original entertainment for film, television, and internet. With a strong background in improvisational and sketch comedy, much of SVE’s material has been of a comedic nature, and has earned them not only laughs but also recognition in the entertainment business. Most notably, SVE’s comedic short films “What Are You Doing Tonight?” and “Time Capsule” were winners of Atom.com’s “Showdown” and were subsequently aired on Comedy Central. Their entries in Film Race competitions (FilmRacing.com) have won them multiple Audience Awards, as well as prizes for Best Writing, Best Director, and Best Actor. Additionally, their comedic short film “Chinese Toast”, a winner in the Film Race, is a selection for 2009’s Director’s Chair Film Festival. They are currently in post-production on a short film, “Do Not Call”, and are hard at work on developing an animated web series, and a comedy series for television, “Up, Up, & Ole´”.
While SVE’s films have been mostly comedic, they have not been afraid to explore the darker side of filmmaking. Their 1-minute short “Confined” was a featured selection in AMC TV’s 2008 FearFest competition, and their short horror film “Glen” won an honorable mention in Film Race’s 2008 National Competition.
